By earning the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizenship test, a dog can qualify for all sorts of special privileges like visiting thier owners in the hospital, and traveling with them in public transportation systems like buses and airports.
These certified dogs often receive more special admittances and many human priveleges.
AKC recognizes a therapy dog through a series of 10 step exercises. The test can be administered here, locally, by yours truly, who can also train you and evaluate which 10 exercises your dog will pass easily and which ones will need correctional work. It’s such an easy process, can take as little as six weeks.
