CAPA Angel Tree delivered JOY to hundreds of local children affected by abuse this Christmas

On Christmas morning, 549 children in Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton woke and saw that Santa had found them.

Through its annual Angel Tree program, the Child Abuse Prevention Association of Beaufort was able to help to fulfill the wishes of more than 500 local children in the Open Arms Children’s Home, foster homes and other support programs. Local children were given the opportunity to write down three Christmas wishes, and CAPA did their best again this year to make sure every request was granted.

Angel trees were on display all over Beaufort County and our community came together to make a huge difference in so many children’s lives this Holiday. Thank you to the many Angel Tree hosts, donors, toy and pajama sorters, box builders, stocking makers, present wrappers, bike assemblers, cookie bakers, Christmas card writers, last-minute Facebook shoppers, seemingly tireless UPS, and USPS drivers, and of course, the CAPA staff!

We. Are. Blessed.

Acts of kindness such as this are just one of the many reasons we are so proud to call Beaufort, SC our home. You can continue to support CAPA by visiting https://capabeaufort.org
